In the post, DomainNameWire's editor in chief, Andrew Allemann writes, ".VIP has set new records for a top level domain name launch under the new TLD program, according to stacks tracker nTLDStats. The group tweeted that the domain is the new record holder for registrations 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours after general availability began."
